Mass Couture
Showcasing the evolution of unobtainable precious objects into accessible pieces for mass consumption and distribution through online retail networks.
  1. Begin with a desirable object, in this case a luxury jewellery piece, such as a necklace, bracelet or earring.
  2. The original piece will be produced in a precious metal, such as silver.
  3. An accurate 3D CAD model of the piece to be rendered digitally.
  4. There are three purchasing options:
    • The original luxe object in cast precious metal (silver, gold etc)
    • The digitally rendered 3D CAD version, which can then be industrially produced in affordable materials such as aluminium, brass or plastic, sold online and shipped by courier.
    • The final option is to purchase a digital download 3D CAD model of the piece; the pattern can be printed by the purchaser at their leisure, in 3-D, which can then be reproduced in as many different materials as they wish.
This project anticipates a limitless online commercial world, transforming luxury items into accessible products. This process will be possible, once the technology is fully accessible, across a range of products, from clothing to sneakers or jewellery to homeware.
