DIGITAL ECHOES
At Hamish Morrow we are constantly seized with wonder at the beauty of technology. The gracefulness of a yacht in full-flight, her urgent sails filled with wind racing across the waves. We are captivated by her lightness and fluidity, the overlap of transparent spinnakers and tensioned strength.

The concept is further explored in the production of the show. Using real-time digital feed and projection, as each girl walks onto the catwalk she will be captured and processed through a series of filters, her manipulated, projected image will then shadow her, sailing along, transforming in real-time, responding to the music. The projections will become her poetic echo, creating a visual score with light, colour and motion.

In a final section of the show we explore the notion of a 'Virtual Print'. Thinking about how print is traditionally applied to fashion led us to explorations in print from 2d to 3d and to the use of projection to communicate print in motion. Four looks will have projections of 'Virtual Print' that will float over the garments surface, forming transient $moments$ of print experienced by the audience only fleetingly.
