FASHION IN ZERO-G
Using Space Blanket Fabric Technology, Sustainability and Flexibility to Create Collectible Sportswear:

In Space everything, where possible, needs to be recycled and therefore sustainability is a key component of life in Zero Gravity. Recycled football jerseys are re-cut and re-fashioned into simple sportswear using silk taffeta to add an element of luxury. Finally 'Space Blankets' are fused with denim creating the most accessible version of 'Zero G' concept. The gold layer may be removed by the wearer leaving only a 'trace' or 'memory' of the technology within the seams.

Zero G is a visionary, long-term project that concerns the design of fashion for a zero gravity environment. It radically extends the themes of technology with glamour and luxury with function that are central to Hamish Morrow's work. It is a creative exploration that goes far beyond fashion's obsession with next season and projects into the distant future. Hamish believes fashion can also play a valuable role inspiring people to think about how we might live tomorrow
